In the networked world, the hacker/attacker sends a mail indicating that the person has won a lottery or huge amount is kept for our use and ask for the personal information such as bank accounts etc and deprive that person. This kind of activity is sometimes called as Fishing in the internet as for catching the fish from the pond, we put the eatable and when the fish try to take it we catch the fish. Similarly by luring the person with something, the attackers obtain the information and use the same to deprive that person.
